Dunfermline won their second friendly of pre-season, defeating Clyde 2-1, but the victory was marred by an injury to Nurudeen Abdulai.

What happened?

The 21-year-old was forced off during the first half after a challenge with Bully Wee forward Scott Williamson. He walked off the field, clutching his shoulder, and was replaced by Freddie Rowe.

Injury concern

Abdulai was taken to hospital to be assessed, and manager Neil Lennon left New Douglas Park soon after the final whistle to check on his player. The injury took the shine off what had otherwise been a good workout for the Pars, who scored twice in the opening 10 minutes.

Match report

Inside the opening minute, they took the lead when new signing Kian Corbally played the ball between two Bully Wee defenders for Andrew Tod, who struck the ball into the far corner of the net. They soon doubled their advantage when a fine, flowing move saw another fresh arrival, Oli Shaw, pull the ball back for Zak Rudden to net from just outside the six-yard box.
