Dunfermline Athletic have upgraded their stadium facilities with a new media gantry installed by engineering firm Jbs. The project marks the Peterhead-based company's first entry into the sports sector and was reported this week by the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce.
The new structure replaces the club's previous media setup and has been specifically engineered to allow a television studio to be housed within the space for the first time. This improvement to broadcast infrastructure directly benefits supporters watching matches from home and overseas. The club currently sits 7th in the Scottish Championship with 5 points from their opening four games, recording one win, two draws and one loss.

The finished structure significantly improves the appearance of the stand while providing enhanced functional capabilities. Colin McKay, the Facilities & Stadium Manager at Dunfermline Athletic, highlighted the structural integrity as a key feature. "The standard of workmanship throughout was excellent, and the finished structure has significantly improved the appearance of that stand," McKay said.
That strong build quality gave the club confidence to incorporate a dedicated TV studio space, something not previously possible with the old setup. This enables an improved broadcast product that can better serve the international audience following the Pars. The team's current form shows WLDD from their last four matches, with 2 goals scored and 3 conceded so far this season.

Jbs is a Peterhead engineering firm that typically works across energy, defence, marine and aerospace sectors. They operate through four core divisions: screw conveyors, controlled flow excavation, blast containment, and fabrication & engineering. Director Jo McIntosh explained that the engineering principles remain consistent across different applications. "We've delivered projects in some demanding environments around the world."
McIntosh expressed pride in delivering for Dunfermline Athletic and welcomed the chance to do similar work for other clubs and venues. The company left the site clean, tidy and well-organised at every stage of the project, according to club officials.
